Spirulina is a microscopic algae living in freshwater and alkaline environments that has been found on this planet since the beginning of life.
Spirulina has been one of the most original forms of life from the beginning of time, helping to sustain and develop the food chain. It is well known that prehistoric algae and plankton life forms in the lakes and oceans of the earth provide the basic nutrients for all life in the world. They are the basis and the beginning of the food chain. Through photosynthesis, algae and plankton convert sunlight into proteins, fatty acids, carbohydrates and nearly all vital nutrients.
Spirulina is a tough survivalist. Some Spirulina species survive at rest even when the water around them evaporates. They can dry on rocks at temperatures as high as 70 ° C. Because of its heat resistance, Spirulina can maintain its nutrients at high temperatures during transport and processing.
Spirulina algae contain an amazing array of nutrients: chlorophyll, proteins, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, essential fatty acids, nucleic acids (RNA and DNA), polysaccharides and a vast array of antioxidants. Spirulina is so nutritious that some people say you can only live on Spirulina for a while. *
Spirulina pacifica Hawaiian algae contain in the natural base the following high quality nutrients well available to the body, such as: For example: iron, vitamin B12, iodine and beta-carotene of the precursor of vitamin A.
Our Spirulina pacifica Hawaii algae from Naturspiruvital are always freshly harvested and come directly from the state-of-the-art water farm on the Kona Coast, on the Big Island in Hawaii. Since spirulina breeding takes place in pools outside the sea, our algae are pollutant-free, which is proven by laboratory tests. Not afraid of pesticide and herbicide residues, these are not used in spirulina breeding, otherwise the alga would destroy itself.
The intense year-round sunshine, the fresh sea air and constant temperatures create ideal cultivation conditions. The production takes place under the open sky, but in otherwise closed pelvis. The large pools are fed with pure spring water 90% and sea water from 600m depth 10%, so it can easily be monitored the water quality. The water used for breeding is highly alkaline and has a pH between 9 and 11.
The green mass is dried in an oxygen-free spray dryer in an Ocean Chill process and cold pressed. This gentle processing guarantees that all valuable nutrients are preserved (raw food quality).
Free from heavy metals, radioactivity, pesticide and herbicide residues, verified by contaminant analyzes.
Start in the first week with 3 algae tablets a 500mg. In the second week, the body has adjusted to the concentrated diet, then you can increase the consumption to 2x 3 algae tablets a 500mg or 1x 6 algae tablets a 500mg a day. One teaspoon of spirulina powder equals 3 algae tablets a 500mg. It is recommended to take Spirulina either in the morning, midday or afternoon, 1/2 hour before eating. Spirulina should not be taken in the evening because it makes you fit.
Spirulina is available from us as a powder, but also in the form of compacts. Spirulina tastes a bit like a blend of leafy greens and fish, with a slightly “sour” aftertaste of sulfur.
Spirulina has a cool-wet character. This means that spirulina is a good choice for people with a hot-dry metabolism, as it balances the tendency to be too hot or dehydrated. Spirulina’s cool-wet signature also makes it an ideal food in hot-dry areas. This is one of the reasons why the inhabitants of the pre-Columbian Mexico City used spirulina as the primary source of protein. It is perfect for the climate there.
Spirulina can be added to superfood smoothies, fresh juices, raw cocoa preparations, homemade salad dressings, and even spread over salads.
